Driving the Next 20 Years:
Creating the New Automotive Industry
in the South

June 7-8, 2010
Lexington, Kentucky

Over the last two decades, the South has had remarkable success building an automotive industry, with 11 foreign auto plants, continued investment from American companies, and a large parts manufacturing base.  But the industry is responding to changing consumer demands and global competition, with more technology demands and different fuels and materials.  The South can take advantage of these changes, help form the future path of the industry, and find ways to maximize the contribution to the Southern economy.

The Next 20 conference is more than a single event—it is an opportunity to connect industry players together for meaningful action, both pre- and post-conference.  Next 20 is an opportunity to create the regional connections in order to help drive the success of the automotive industry for the next two decades.
